ちなみに、「あきはばら」の読みは、秋葉原駅の駅名をつける際、秋葉原の読み方を知らない鉄道官僚が勘違いして付けたことで生まれたものである（同様の例は、他には尾久駅、高田馬場駅、熊谷駅などがある）。
